Closing Lines

An archive of Pinnacle closing prices. For every finished match SteamWatch tracks it lists the last price recorded before kickoff on the 1X2 market, the Asian handicap (line and both prices) and the totals market (line, over and under), grouped by league and matchweek. The opening price sits beside each close, so the movement is visible in one row.

Where the data comes from

Prices are Pinnacle's, taken from The Odds API. SteamWatch requests each tracked competition every 15 minutes from the moment a match is listed, every 10 minutes inside two hours of kickoff and every two minutes in the last half hour, and stores every snapshot. The closing line is the final snapshot captured before the recorded kickoff time. The capture time and the number of minutes before kickoff are stored with it. Nothing is back-filled from other bookmakers.

How to read the numbers

All prices are decimal. The implied probability of a price is 100 divided by the price. The three 1X2 implied probabilities sum to a little over 100%, and the excess is Pinnacle's margin, typically two to three points on these leagues. Open-to-close movement is best read in implied-probability points rather than raw odds: 1.50 to 1.40 is a much bigger move than 5.00 to 4.00. As of 2026-09-29, 3,517 closing lines are on record across the tracked competitions. Leagues covered: Premier League, EFL Championship, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Champions League, Europa League, Conference League and the UEFA Nations League.
