Do steam moves win? SteamWatch records every significant pre-kickoff price shortening (3+ percentage points of implied probability at Pinnacle) across major European leagues and tracks what happened next.

- 531 steam moves tracked through to a result. 216 won (40.7%), 128 drew, 187 lost.
- Backing every one blind at the price when the move was detected returned -3.5% (-18.7 units at flat 1 unit stakes).
- Drifters, the moves going the other way: 797 tracked, 284 won (35.6%), blind backing returned -3.5%.
